Carpet banding instead of full wrapping
Carpet banding keeps a rug or mat rolled with one or two bands instead of wrapping the whole roll in plastic. The roll is held closed, the pile is visible, and the customer can see what they are buying without unwrapping it.
The band carries the size, the pattern code, the barcode and the branding, printed on during banding, so no separate label is applied to the roll. Compared with a shrink wrapping machine, a banding machine uses up to 90% less energy — no tunnel, no warm-up, no standing heat load in the warehouse.
Rolled goods share a machine with timber and warehouse despatch.
