Where banding printed matter makes the difference
Banding printed matter means holding a stack together without leaving a mark on it. Plastic strapping cuts into the top and bottom sheets of a bundle, and on coated or high-gloss stock that damage is visible and unsellable. A paper band spreads the same force over a much wider surface.
This matters across the whole print finishing line: magazines, brochures, folded signatures, flat cartons, envelopes and in-mould labels. It matters most on valuable papers and banknotes, where the count has to stay exact and the bundle has to show whether it has been opened.
