Pet Food Banding and Multipacks

Pet food banding covers pouches, trays, tins and dry food bags, and each one holds differently. A wet food pouch is soft and slippery. A tray is rigid. A tin is round. The band wraps around all of them without needing a different tool for each shape.

Multipacks are where it earns its place. A twelve-pack of pouches held with one band uses a fraction of the film a shrink wrap would need, and the band carries the flavour mix, the barcode and the promotional message on a flat printed surface the shopper can actually read.

For promotional runs the advantage is speed. A three-for-two or a new flavour launch means a new print file and a new roll, not a new sleeve die with its own lead time and minimum order quantity.

Chilled and frozen pet food lines benefit twice over, because there is no heat tunnel adding warmth next to a product that has to stay cold.

Wet and dry ranges often run alongside frozen and ready meal lines on the same machine.
