Plastics Bundling and Rubber Products
With a band, you can bundle or label your plastic products quickly and efficiently. Shrink film, self-adhesive labels, outer boxes or plastic bags become unnecessary. This way you can save up to 80 per cent of packaging material. Thanks to Bandall’s unique banding technology, the band is always secure around your product or primary packaging, keeping them damage free and without glue residue from tape or labels.
What plastics bundling has to handle
Plastics bundling covers profiles, pipes, sheets, mouldings and rubber goods, and every one of them behaves differently under tension. A rigid PVC profile takes a firm band. A soft rubber extrusion will deform if the same tension is used. Tension is set per product, so both run on the same machine.
Extruded goods also come off the line hot and slightly flexible. A band applied cold holds the bundle without a heat tunnel adding more heat to a product that is still cooling.
Timber and foam mouldings run on the same setup with a different tension.
A band as a seal
The band can also serve as packaging security on the shelf in the store. For example, for products such as household storage boxes or plastic cups. The band prevents the stack from being taken apart before sale. Or prevents lids from being taken off containers. Once the product is at its final destination, the band can be removed in no time at all.
A printed band as label
You can have the band printed according to your wishes. That way, the band doubles as a label. The entire length and width of the band can be printed on. This allows you to optimally present your marketing and product information. Think of origin data, bar codes, user instructions, and branding. Optional positioning technology ensures that all information is always placed in the right place relative to the product to be banded.
