Where print finishing banding fits the line
Print finishing banding runs at the end of the folding, gathering and stitching line, where signatures, brochures and inserts come off in counted stacks. The band holds each stack at the speed the line delivers it, without a heat tunnel and without marking the printed sheet.
Because the count is set on the machine, every bundle leaves the line with the same number in it. The band carries the job number and the destination, so the bundles are sorted before they reach despatch.
Flat cartons and secure documents come off the same counted bundles.
